China’s largest search engine Baidu has launched a test version of regional sites for Brazil, Egypt and Thailand. According to the secretary of the company, only internal testing is currently underway, they are not yet ready to officially launch a full-fledged version of the regional search engine for the mentioned countries. The test pages are written in regional languages and, in addition to the search bar, offer users to go to Facebook, YouTube, and Baidu Hao 123’s own catalog with quick links.

Already in 2013, advertising on Baidu was launched for the first time, which was taken care of by the iConText agency, which obtained the exclusive right to advertising activities. The first advertisement was contextual, just like for example on Google or Yandex and many other search engines. The Internet giant, which occupies an overwhelming part of the coverage in the Chinese market, is the most important Chinese search engine and covers practically the entire market, which makes it the 3rd largest search engine in the world.
