The first stage of the “Runet Ranking 2012” competition started on February 1 this year. This phase of national voting will select the best sites for 2012. Voting will run until April 10, 2013.
The Runet ranking is an annual website competition open to both professional website builders and website owners. The competition has been held for the 3rd year, during which time it has become one of the most prominent and interesting events of Runet.
The competition offers an opportunity for web studios and website owners to demonstrate their successes, get to know interesting and current solutions in the web industry, and meet in an unofficial environment at the awards ceremony.
The competition will take place in 23 different nominations. It will be, for example, the categories “Finance, investments, banks”, “Construction and real estate”, “Internet shops” and many others. A wide spectrum of nominations provides the opportunity to make yourself known in practically any field.
Applications could be sent from September 3, 2012. Currently, more than 500 applications have been received to participate in the competition. This year, among the competitors are, for example, the websites of Samsung, Volvo Car Russia, MTC Bank and others.
In order to participate in voting, you need to go to http://www.ratingruneta.ru/awards_vote. Users rate websites on a five-point scale. A special algorithm ensures equal conditions for all contest participants: each page is displayed for voting at a certain time, as well as all other participating pages.
As in previous years, the selection of the best site takes place in 3 stages. The first stage is the aforementioned National vote, in which all internet users can participate. The voting results will create a comprehensive list of nominees. In the second stage, the jury will vote to create a shortlist of nominations in each category.
The final third stage will be the finals of the competition, where a special jury will select the 3 best websites in each category. The results of the “Runet Ranking 2012” will be known at the end of May 2013 at the awards ceremony. Winners from each category will receive an award and a diploma.
