China’s largest search engine Baidu has launched a test version of regional sites for Brazil, Egypt and Thailand. According to the secretary of the company, only internal testing is currently underway, they are not yet ready to officially launch a full-fledged version of the regional search engine for the mentioned countries. The test pages are written in regional languages and, in addition to the search bar, offer users to go to Facebook, YouTube, and Baidu Hao 123’s own catalog with quick links.

Baidu is considered a giant among search engines in China, which was launched in 2000. Today, Baidu ‘s search index has more than 750 million web pages, more than 80 million views and 10 million media files. In 2008, the company went global when it launched a regional version of the search engine in Japan. Of course, the first place still belongs to Google, which represents 68% of the market.

The Internet giant, which occupies an overwhelming part of the coverage in the Chinese market, is the most important Chinese search engine and covers practically the entire market, which makes it the 3rd largest search engine in the world.
